Skype in the Classroom

    Skype can be used as a teaching tool to introduce students to other students across the country or even the world! 

    I had seen Skype used as a teaching tool because we would read to students in another state when I was in elementary school. I don’t remember it too clearly because it was new, so it never really worked well. With the other classes in the grade, we would switch off who we read to and who read to us.

    I could imagine using this in the classroom now because technology has improved. Also, because it allows students to learn new things from people they do not know and socialize with them, it builds confidence in students.
